Full-grain leather
From Argentine tanneries, vegetable-tanned. Every grain is unique.
Patina
Weather, water and fur darken the leather. After a year you can see where your dog has been.
Care
Wipe off mud when dry, leather balm two or three times a year. Let it air-dry after rain.
Solid brass
Buckle and ring in solid brass, not plated — it takes on a patina instead of flaking.

Frequently asked questions
How do I find the right size?
Measure your dog’s neck with a tape measure, held so that two fingers still fit underneath. Compare that measurement with the length of the collar: 40 cm, measured from the end of the buckle to the last hole.
Will it hold when my dog pulls?
It is the same leather and the same solid brass as our belts, stitched by the same hands. That said: a collar is for guiding, not for restraining. For a dog that pulls hard we would sooner recommend a harness.
What if it gets wet or muddy?
Nothing dramatic — it is a working material. Let it air-dry, never on a radiator, and brush the mud off once it is dry. Leather balm two or three times a year keeps it supple.
Does the leather darken?
It does, and that is the point. Vegetable-tanned leather takes on a patina from weather, water and wear. A new collar is a promise; a worn one is a story.
