Within Germany, delivery takes two to three working days. You’ll receive tracking by email as soon as your belt is on its way. There is no delivery on Sundays or public holidays.

Yes. As soon as your belt leaves our warehouse you’ll receive an email with a tracking link.

Take a belt that fits you and measure from the end of the buckle to the middle hole. That number in centimetres is your size, and if it falls between two sizes, take the nearer one: 93 cm is size 95. Our sizing advice has the table and a quick finder.

Write to info@locherlandwehr.com with your order number and the size you need. Or register the exchange directly: start a return — with your order number and e-mail address, no login. The return label follows by e-mail. A size exchange is free of charge. We send the new size as soon as your return reaches us.

Unlike a classic leather belt, the tail may be longer, and that is not a flaw but the characteristic look of a polo belt. The end runs through the belt loop and lies against the side. So a measured figure that lands exactly on one of our sizes is well placed: you wear the belt near its tighter end, with room left above it.

Yes, in separate size systems. Men’s belts run from XS to 5XL (80–120 cm), women’s from 70 to 95 cm. Every detail is in our sizing advice.

Every belt is made by hand in a family workshop in Buenos Aires — since 1984. The craft, the materials and the thinking behind them are on The Workshop.

Full-grain is the outermost layer of the hide with its natural grain left intact — neither sanded down nor embossed with an artificial pattern to hide insect bites and scars, as corrected leather is. That is where the fibres are densest, which is why it is the most durable grade and why it develops a patina no maker can imitate. Ours is vegetable-tanned and dyed through: “full-grain” describes the surface, not the colour.

Serafil is a wax-coated polyester thread used in saddlery, boatbuilding and leatherwork. It is UV-resistant, tear-proof and exceptionally long-lived — a seam that lasts decades.

Our aim is that you buy a Locher & Landwehr belt once — because it lasts decades. Full-grain leather, wax-coated Serafil thread and solid brass buckles are built for decades, not for seasons.

Once or twice a year, apply a thin coat of colourless leather balm and buff it with a soft cloth. Avoid direct heat and prolonged sunlight. The full guide is on Care instructions.

Yes, and it is intended. Our buckles are solid brass and develop a natural patina. That is not a defect but a sign of real material and real wear. If you prefer the original shine, a soft cloth with a little brass polish is enough.

You have 14 days from receipt to register the return. The belt must be unworn and in its original packaging. Your statutory right of withdrawal is unaffected — the details are in the withdrawal policy.

Register the return in your customer account; the return label follows by email. For a regular return we charge a flat €4.90, deducted from your refund — a size exchange is free. Once the belt reaches us we refund the purchase price within five working days. If anything is unclear, write to info@locherlandwehr.com with your order number.
