A polo belt is a leather belt with an embroidered pattern. Its origin lies in Argentine polo, where leather, straps, saddles and bridles do not go out of style, but out of use.
At Locher & Landwehr, it starts with vegetable-tanned full-grain leather. Four millimetres thick. Cut by hand. The embroidery is done with waxed Serafil thread, a thread from the saddlery trade.
The result is not a seasonal accessory. Rather, it is a piece that adds colour without being loud. For chinos, denim, linen or knitwear. In the city, on weekends, when travelling.
Our three models are called Ascot, Hamptons and Wellington. They are made in a family workshop in Buenos Aires, which has been producing for the polo environment since 1984.
