A polo belt is easily bought. A good one isn't. You can recognize it by a few things: leather, embroidery, buckle, origin, and size.
The leather should appear firm and open, not coated like plastic. The embroidery should be neatly done, without sterile perfection. A solid brass buckle ages differently than coated metal.
Origin also matters. Not as a romantic label, but as a question of the hands that worked on it. Our belts are made in a family workshop in Buenos Aires, from cutting to assembly.
And finally: the size. A belt only looks natural when it fits correctly. The middle hole is the best place for it.
